Responsibilities
- Customer interface, project management, and technical lead of a project team (Electrical,
Mechanical, Optical, Validation engineers) are the main activities; - GPEP Process, PTC Integrity, PTC Windchill, SAP Systems must be utilized to ensure
activities are completed efficiently and on schedule to meet program expectations; - Develop electrical / mechanical / optical hardware in compliance with Global Product
Engineering Process (GPEP); - Project management of all hardware and validation related activities per master timing
plan; - Primary hardware interface to the customer;
- Evaluate customer specifications and translation into designs;
- Evaluating internal and external engineering design change requests;
- Develop and manage project level hardware requirements;
- Communication and project status reporting including Timing and budget;
- Tracking and resolution of change requests and defect records;
- Deployment of development documentation according development process GPEP;
- Release hardware design for assigned project(s) and quotes;
- Risk management / Mitigation of Risks regarding Hardware;
- Meet BOM and engineering effort budgets for assigned project (Drive VAVE activities).

Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred);
- Minimum of 8 years technical experience in product development;
- Minimum of 5 years automotive customer experience;
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of product development engineering practices in
electrical engineering field; - Knowledge of the application and delivery of advanced electronic systems into the
automotive industry; - Understanding of new technologies and cutting-edge methods in the industry;
- Demonstrated problem solving skills as well as keen analytical abilities in a teamwork
setting; - Working knowledge in structured engineering approach;
- Working knowledge in risk management;
- Advanced Knowledge of IATF16949 / ISO 26262 Processes;
- Comprehensive working knowledge of the Product Development Life Cycle (GPEP);
- Good team and people skills, including interpersonal skills that are required to lead,
mentor, communicate, and build the technical capabilities of a cross-functional and cross-cultural organization; - Able to work effectively in a global environment;
- Able to represent technical topics internally and externally;
- Expert communication skills;
- Travel (domestic and international) may be needed;
- Self-starter who can work in a fast paced and multifaceted environment;
- Strong and effective decision-making skills;
- Knowledge of analysis and engineering tools (i.e. requirement, change and configuration
management tools, document control and archiving tools, modelling and analysis tools,
etc.); - Knowledge of English language (verbal and written).
